North School September tag sale

The North School Preservation Society held their September tag sale on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North School grounds. Their last fundraising sale of this year will be held on Oct. 21

There are many new donations in addition to the already wide selection of items for sale. If you are looking to furnish an apartment, you will find an array of furniture, small appliances, and dish ware.

Our audio-video room is filled with records, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, and audiotapes. We also have a wide selection of sports equipment, knickknacks, pictures, frames, and pet supplies including several pet carriers. Our book room is stocked with a huge selection including: travel, Vermont-based, crafts, fiction, children’s literature, vintage, cookbooks and much more.

Be sure to check out our holiday room, which is filled with Halloween, Christmas, and Easter decorations.

The North School is located on 49 Main St., North Springfield, Vt. Parking and access is off lower School St. For more information or to donate items, call Christy at 802-296-1307. Proceeds of the sale will go toward restoration of the building.

Marion Whitcomb,  North School's music teacher in the 1960s, still remembers the first little song taught to new first graders on their first day of school.
